Controversy Over Market Rankings

A fresh controversy has erupted in Nigeria’s online egg business space after Chioma Ifeanyi Eze challenged Roberta to produce evidence to support her claims about the country’s leading online egg vendors. Chioma, in a post on her Facebook, alleged that Roberta failed to produce a list of top online egg vendors she had reportedly claimed existed, despite a ₦30 million stake being placed on the matter.

The development has sparked renewed debate over claims of market leadership, business rankings, and what constitutes credible evidence when entrepreneurs make assertions about their standing within an industry. Chioma described the outcome as a vindication of her position.

30m was staked, Roberta produced no list. Because there is no list.

Claims of Business Impact and Innovation

Chioma maintained that her business activities had continued despite the controversy, insisting that her focus remained on building and expanding her ventures rather than engaging in prolonged online arguments. She highlighted her track record across different sectors, including bookkeeping and educational technology, as evidence of her ability to build businesses with visible market impact.

Chioma continues to do her business, pioneering and re-inventing the industry. Chioma takes her flowers, whether or not anyone wants to give it.

She cited her previous ventures, noting her transition from Accountinghub to edtech and eventually into the egg business. According to her, the results of these transitions demonstrated a consistent pattern of market influence and pioneering work.

Accusations of Research Failures

The dispute intensified as Chioma accused Roberta of making claims without adequate research. She specifically challenged the assertion that there were at least five online egg vendors larger than her own business operations, arguing that the absence of a verifiable list strengthened her claim to prominence.

Roberta lied that she knew any top 5 bigger online egg vendors. Roberta spoke out of deep envy. Roberta spoke without any research.

Chioma also took issue with what she described as an attempt to dismiss the statistics involved in the dispute. She framed the disagreement as part of a broader issue surrounding how women respond to the success of other women in business, alleging that her rival had a history of criticizing successful female entrepreneurs.

Resolution and Market Scrutiny

The controversy comes amid growing competition and visibility among entrepreneurs using social media to market and build businesses, with claims of market leadership increasingly becoming a subject of public scrutiny. Chioma ended her statement by declaring that the matter had been settled from her perspective.

LET ROBERTA POINT ANYONE OR BUSINESS SHE HAS BUILT. SURELY A BUILDER AND A PULLDOWN CAN NEVER BE MATES.

While Chioma has announced the closure of the discussion by locking her comment section, the allegations and claims contained in her statement could not be independently verified from the material provided. A response from Roberta to the latest challenge was not included in the source material, leaving the dispute centered on competing claims over the ranking and prominence of online vendors.
