Commendation from Ilorin Emirates Descendants

Earlier in the visit, the National President of IEDPU, ACG A. A. AbdulMalik (Rtd.), commended Jimoh for his distinguished career, professionalism, and contributions to national development. AbdulMalik further highlighted that the qualities displayed by the AIG were consistent with the moral standards of Barakat Community Secondary School, Ilorin, where Jimoh completed his secondary education. The school, established by the IEDPU, was designed to inculcate sound societal values and moral discipline alongside academic excellence. The union expressed full confidence in Jimoh’s ability to continue acting in accordance with the rule of law.

Responding to the accolades, Jimoh acknowledged the union’s longstanding interest in his career and expressed gratitude for their continued support. He noted that the visit was particularly significant because it reinforced the core values of service and integrity expected of all public officers.

Regional Security Mandate and Integrity

The command remains focused on safeguarding lives and property, maintaining public order, and creating a secure environment for residents through collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

The visit, held at the Zone 2 Headquarters on August 25, 2026, provided an opportunity for the IEDPU to appreciate Jimoh as a prominent son of Ilorin. The delegation’s commendation highlighted the essential role of character and professional integrity in policing, where decisions directly impact the protection of fundamental rights and public safety.

The Zonal Headquarters remains resolute in its constitutional duties, emphasizing that the principles of discipline and professional conduct will continue to define its operations in the interest of regional peace and security.
