The wife of gospel singer Neon Adejo has challenged photographer David Martins to directly address allegations of abuse involving his estranged wife, Alicia, rather than shift attention to her husband. She stated that Adejo only offered assistance when the family was in need and faulted what she described as a carefully constructed narrative designed to sway public opinion by selectively presenting facts.

In a statement, she expressed concern that individuals who received genuine support during difficult periods could later make damaging allegations against those who assisted them in good faith. She maintained that the intervention was an act of compassion toward a family in distress.

Clarifying Motives and Family Commitment

Defending her husband against suggestions that his financial support for Alicia may have been motivated by ulterior motives, she said Neon had always prioritised the welfare of his immediate and extended family. She argued that providing assistance to a person going through hardship should not automatically be interpreted as evidence of improper intentions.
